FAQ

How much does it cost to hire you?
We predominantly offer our services on a contingent fee arrangement. That means we only get paid if and when you get paid. The fee owed to us will be a percentage of the amount that is recovered (usually 33%), plus reimbursement for costs and expenses that are fronted by the firm. If you retain us, all of this information will be clearly explained to you and put in writing in the retention agreement. With a contingency fee, you will not owe us any money if we are not able to recover any money for you.

Why contingency?
The opposite of a contingency fee is the billable hour. With a billable hour, an attorney tracks every minute they spend on your case. With litigation, this very quickly becomes too expensive for the average person to afford. There is also the risk that that you may pay a lot of money in legal bills and still end up losing your case. With a contingency fee, your attorney shares in that risk of losing. This allows someone to pursue their legal rights who otherwise would be unable to afford an attorney.

Can you represent me if I live outside of Tennessee?
While we are based in Nashville, TN and predominantly represent Tennessee clients, we are also licensed in Missouri and accept cases all over the country. When we work with out-of-state clients, we work with local counsel in your jurisdiction to sponsor our practice of law in that jurisdiction.
-
If I call you, will my information stay private?
Absolutely. The professional rules of practicing law require confidentiality, even for potential clients.
-
When should I call you?
If you have been sexually assaulted, raped, harassed, or were sexually abused as a child, it is always best to call our firm as soon as possible. The law sets times frames on when you must bring your claims, so it is always best to advise an attorney sooner rather than later.

What if I don’t feel ready to speak with an attorney yet?
That is okay! You wouldn’t be the first. Just know that if and when you are ready, you will be met with a friendly voice that really cares. Also be assured that we will discuss the details surrounding your traumatic experience at your own pace.
